Starting the module sketchbook and deciding what brief to choose

second day back at university, we have received the two possible briefs and have until Thursday to make a decision.

Unfortunately after multiple attempts at rotor moulding the Loop Chair I was still unsuccessful in getting an even wall throughout the whole model which caused the mode to break during the demoulding of the chair

That is a shame Kyle. You will have plenty of analysis and can make recommendations for how you might adjust the process, form or how the mold faces are connected to allow ease of demolding. The other thing you could do is visualise these recommendations. My final suggestion to learn about how well your form lends itself to casting is to cast a solid form (using plaster or similar) to check how easy it is to remove from the mold. Good luck.

My final product was initially meant to be made using the rotor mould, this meant making a 3 part mould half filling it with jesmonite before plugging the pour hole and spinning the mould for 20 minutes while the jesmonite set
